Photo on 08-01-2013 at 08.48The author of applying for law is Dr Mark Elliott. He is a Reader in Public Law at the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of Law. He is also a Fellow and Director of Studies in Law at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. In that capacity, he is involved in admitting Law students, teaching them and looking after their academic welfare.

Mark teaches and writes about public law, so he is particularly interested in constitutional law, administrative law and human rights. He is the author of many articles in this area, as well as two student textbooks: Public Law (with Professor Robert Thomas) and Beatson, Matthews and Elliott’s Text and Materials on Administrative Law.

Mark has taught at Cambridge since 1999, and is the recipient of a Cambridge University Pilkington Prize for Excellence in Teaching. Further information about Mark can be found on his website and on his profile page on the Cambridge Law Faculty website.
